A screech filled the air as I bolted toward Sunningfalls. "GET READY TO FIGHT!" I called to the battle patrols shadowing me. The battle was already fierce. We all threw ourselves into battle.
ReplyDeleteI was on a patrol with Leafpaw. She kept standing close to me. Too close. I had forgiven her, but why did she have to like me so much. "A little space, please?" Leafpaw moved away. Then moved in again. And again. She was getting annoying! "STOP!" I finally cried, putting as much space between us as possible.
ReplyDeleteI raced through the battle. No one would notice if Tigereyes went 'missing' in the battle. I has asked Amberstar if I could fight. She had said no but I had snuck out of the camp anyway. I saw Tigereyes fighting an Ocean Clan warrior. The warrior ran off and Tigereyes turned to me. "WELL?" She said. "What do you want? Do you need my help again?" She sneered. "No i dont Tigereyes." I replied coldly. She glared at me as I stalked menacingly forward. I leaped at Tigereyes and racked my hind claws down her back. "You dont deserve to be alive, Tigereyes. Your just like Tigerstar." I bit down on Tigereyes' neck and she let out a yowl of pure fury but she didnt give up easily. I knew I could beat her. Destroy her. Destroy what she had made me become. "I dont want to betray my clan!! They raised me!! I dont want to be feared. I want to be loved and treated as an equal. I realised that when I saw the fear and pain in Palehearts eyes. And I cant betray her. None of the clan." Tigereyes narrowed her eyes. She curled her teeth as she prepared to give me a bite that would kill me. But I was quicker. Our secret battle sessions had made me stronger, fitter and more agile than the older cat. I wipped out of the bite and quickly lept back on top of Tigereyes. I opened my jaws wide for the blow that would set me free. I felt the warm trickle of blood in my mouth as Tigereyes let out a great shudder and then lay limply to the forest floor.
ReplyDeleteI raced towards Leafpaw and Greypaw to help them fight a warrior. they darted away from me. "Its okay!! Im not going to hurt you. I promise." I begged them to listen. They did. "Why are you being nice to us now??" Greypaw asked critcially. Because...because...I KILLED TIGEREYES!!!" I blurted it out. They looked stunned. "I had to do it!! I didnt want to hurt you!! Especially YOU Leafpaw!! We were friends from when I first came to the clan. You were, and i hope you still are, my best friend. But the ambition..IT WAS SO GREAT!!! I still want to be leader...but if i ever DO become leader, it wont be through blood shred and murder, it will be through friendship and loyalty to my clan." I willed them to believe me, because it was true. I never wanted to kill or hurt anybody, just loved.

ReplyDeleteI ran away. I admit it. Moon paw was being SO nice, but KILLING TIGEREYES?!?! THAT was too far! Leafpaw ran after me, but I screamed "Go away." Of course, she didn't go away. "Please, Greypaw! I thought you liked me!!" NOT ANYMORE!!! "GO AWAY!!!" I flew into her and she skidded out the door uninjured but stunned. "Greypaw, I-" "SAVE IT!!!" I hated her. I hated everybody. "Just...go." I was near tears. Why had I been so harsh on her? I DID like her! Oh well. She probably was ready to pounce of me. Then, she did. "OH, YOU ARE SO ADORABLE!!!" WHAT?!? What was she doing?!?!? "GET OFF ME!" Leafpaw took no notice. "I Love it when guys play hard to get!!" Something was wrong. This wasn't Leafpaw at all. "WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!!!" I shouted. Leafpaw stayed put. I looked into her eyes, and saw that they were amber! LEAFPAW'S EYES WERE BLUE!!!! "NO!" This couldn't be! Who WAS this cat?!?! "GET AWAY!!" The cat was smothering me with her fur. "NO!" Finally, the cat reached up.. And removed her head. It was the hollow head of Leafpaw! AN EXACT REPLICA!! The real face of the cat was revealed."TIGEREYES!!!" I thought he was dead! "You thought wrong." Tigereyes smothered me again. I was dying..... My eyes flew open. "NO!" I cried again to the fur in my face. Wait a second. The fur smelled like a rabbit! "WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?" Snowpetal stood over me! "your awake!!" "Huh?" "You were knocked out earlier!" oh. It was a dream. But something, SOMETHING was real.

ReplyDeleteGreypaw ran away when I told him about Tigereyes. I thought he would understand that I had to do it!! An Ocean Clan warrior whipped around and attacked him and Greypaw fell to the ground limply. Oh no! He cant be dead! I just told him everything! I ran over to him but was shoved aside to see that Leafpaw was moaning slowly beside him. "Please...please dont be dead!" She snuggled closer to his body and I watched with sympathy in my eyes at the closeness between them. I saw Snowpetal come running up to help then stop and glare at me. "WHAT DID YOU DO!!" She squealed accusingly. "I didnt do anything. An Ocean Clan warrior attacked him." "I need to go get my herbs. Can I trust you and Leafpaw to stay here and look after him?" "You can." I promised. Snowpetal left to go get her herbs and I guarded Greypaw. Leafpaw was hysterical. "NO NO NO!! HE CANT BE DEAD HE JUST CANT!!" "Leafpaw, the best thing you can do is to stay calm." I told her gently. " I want you to go find a bush or cave somewhere that will keep Greypaw safe." She gave a swift nod and ran off to go find a safe place for him. I spotted an Ocean Clan apprentice sneaking up to me and Greypaw. I pounced on him when he wasnt expecting it and he ran meowling back to his camp. "Tigereyes!!" Greypaw gasped. I whipped my head around and stared at Greypaw in shock and disbelief. What??!! Tigereyes was dead!! Then I saw a dark shadow curl itself around Greypaw. I couldnt help but look back at Tigereyes' body which was lying stock still nearby. How could this be??!! I felt a thought flash through my mind. Is Tigereyes REALLY gone??
ReplyDeleteAFTER GREYPAW WOKE UP, HE KEPT TRYING T OTELL ME SOMETHIING ABOUT TIGEREYES. I LOOKED ARROUND AND SAW THAT SHE WAS DEAD I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! SHE WAS OUR BEST FIGHTER!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen Snowpetal came back with the herbs Greypaw started to tell her something about Tigereyes. Snowpetal turned her head and looked around and saw Tigereyes lying on the ground. She whipped her head around to look at me. I glanced away guiltily. "I know you know that I did it. But you have to understand why." I mumbled to Snowpetal. "But I dont think you ever will." Snowpetal gaze didnt waver as I told her how Tigereyes had influened me to do all those things. And she only blinked once when I told her I couldnt take it anymore and had decided to kill him. I told her about our secret training sessions and how it had made me stronger. "Im a lot stronger than Tigereyes now. In battle. But it was a hard fight between us." I told Snowpetal. "But theirs one thing I dont understand. When I was alone with Greypaw I...I swear I saw a tabby shadow curl itself around Greypaw. And then I saw three others." I froze. Waiting for Snowpetal to take all of this information in. shakily, Snowpetal asked me something I hadnt expected her to ask me. Something I didnt find important. "What did they look like?" "All had the same pelts. Three of them had amber eyes. One had ice blue." I recited. Snowpetal jumped to her paws. "WE HAVE TO TELL AMBERSTAR!!!" "Whats going on?" Leafpaw jumped out of the bushes. "It doesnt matter. I have to go somewhere with Snowpetal now. Stay here with Greypaw." I ran into the clearing with Snowpetal beside me as we ran into the battle looking for Amberstar. An Ocean Clan warrior leapt at me but I leaped into the air accuratly and landed on his shoudlers. I raked them down his back and then let go as the Ocean Clan warrior ran back to his camp. "Look, theres Amberstar!!" Snowpetal meowed excitedly. "Oh no!!" I noticed the Ocean Clan deputy sneaking up to her as Amberstar threw a warrior off. He was the best fighter in his clan. I let out a battle yowl and ran towards the deputy. He and Amberstar looked up startled. "Moonpaw! What are you doing here!! Your meant to be in the camp!" DOES IT MATTER RIGHT NOW!! YOU WOULDNT HAVE NOTICED THIS FOX DUNG SLINKING THROGUH THE BUSHES!!" I raked my claws down his front then darted away and raked them down his side. He let aout a dignified yowl and stomped away back into the battle. "I guess I owe you at thank you Moonpaw." "No, no you dont." I looked up at her and I could feel the stinging of water in my eyes. "I had to do it. I couldnt go on living like this!!" We stood in a bush so we wouldnt be seen and crounched there. "I dont know what you mean Moonpaw??" Snowpetal slunk into the bush we were hiding in. "Its alright Moonpaw. Amberstar will understand." "Okay. I killed Tigereyes." Amberstar gasped but Snowpetal just wrapped her tail protectivly around me. "She had to Amberstar. She was being influenced by him. Ill tell you the story later, but right now I have to tell you something important." "Cant it wait until after the battle??" "No it has to be done now. Moonpaw tell her what you saw." "I saw Tigereyes wrap herself around Greypaws body when he was unconsious. Then I saw three other cats. Snowpetal says that they are all related in some way. Snowpetal says that they are Tigerstar, Tigerheart and Hawkfrost." Amberstar gasped and it looked like she might faint. "BUT THIS IS IMPOSSBLE!! HOW!! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN IN MY OWN CLAN!!" "There is one thing I didnt tell Snowpetal." Snowpetal looked shocked. "I wanted to tell you both. Just before the cats faded away, a deep voice whispered in my ear. It said we have returned." Snowpetal and Amberstar just looked at each other. A swift glance so that I almost didnt see it. But it was there. "LOOK!" I gasped. "THERE THEY ARE AGAIN!!" Snowpetal and Amberstar looked around but the cats had disappeared once again.
ReplyDeleteI was mad. REALLY mad. No one knew Tigerstar was my secret father. He said he still loved me before he died. I had never thought differently until now. I stayed silent until the battle was over, careful to not use any of the moves my father had showed me. the battle didn't end for quite awhile. I was getting KINDA bored, so I went back to camp to check on the cats there. After I saw they were fine, I traveled to my den and fell into a deep sleep. My dream was horrendous. I walked through a dark forest, THE dark forest, and sat in a clearing and waited as I used to do when I was an apprentice. Finally, the three cats came into view. "Well well well, who do we have here?" Tigerstar smirked. "You fuzzbrain." My voice was cold. "Shut up, daghter, you mangy worthless piece of fur!" Hawkfrost laghed. "SHUT UP YOURSELF!" I was surprised to hear Tigereyes defending me. "A- Amberstar.." He stammered."Yeah?" "Th-there is something I had always meant to tell you..." "What?" Hawkfrost snickered. "He loves you, you nitwit." I was shocked. "WHAT- WHERE- WHEN- IS IT TRUE?!?!?" I had so many questions! Tigereyes looked away. "Duh!" Hawkfrost was laughing out loud by now. Tigerstar finally screeched "PUT A SOCK IN IT!!!" Hawkfrost backed away. "Lets go." Tigerstar led his companion into the shadows. After they were gone, Tigereyes spoke. "I have always loved you, Amberstar." "And you still do? I'm a leader!" I was more harsh than I wanted to be. "W-well, yeah.." "Sorry." "Don't be sorry! I love your voice, anything you say!" Then he looked at me, wondering what I would do. I purred. "You may be an evil cat... But I love you too." My dream started to fade. Tigereyes saw it too. "MEET ME TONIGHT, SAME PLACE!!" he called. Then I awoke. Should I really meet him again? Did I really love him? Yes, I did. No one could know. I fell asleep again on purpose(taking lots of Snowpetal's poppy seeds in the process) and met Tigereyes again. "Can I kill you?" were his first words. "Romantic." "No, I mean it! you can live in the dark forest with me!!" "I don't know... I would probably go to Starclan, not here." "Actually, Starclan is taking me back tomorrow." "REALLY?!?" "Yeah. You're fading. Think abouot it." "Oh.." A awoke again. Back to the battle. As I fought the Oceanclan warriors, I thought about living with Tigereyes in starclan. Then I decided. My answer was... YES. Snowpetal was around, so I told her the news. She was shocked, but promised not to tell any other cat. So, off to be killed by my love. Yee-ha.

ReplyDeleteI was battling a Oceancaln warrior when I saw a cat fall into the water. It was Shadowkit! I finished iff the oceanclan cat with one blow and ran toward the water and jumped in without hesitation. A brain freeze caught me when the water sdoaked into my fur. I found Shadowkit wailing as loud as she could while trying to keep her head above water. I peddled over to her, grabbed her by the scruff and pulled her to safty.

ReplyDeleteWhen I pulled Shadowkit out of the water, I saw a juniper berry close by and started to gush the water out of Shadowkit's mouth. After I heard Snowpettle and Amberstar talking close by.
I saw Firetree slinking towards where Amberstar and Snowpetal were discussing something that I couldn't hear. "What are you doing!!' I hissed in Firetree's ear. He jumped back in fright. "I...I can hear Amberstar talking to Snowpetal. Its sounds kind of serious." "Hmmm I guess we should go and see what they're saying." We slunk closer and I could just make out a few words. ..."Tigereyes came to me...." Thats all I heard from Amberstar. Then she turmed her head and looked at the bush where me and Firetree were hiding. "Dont think I cant pick up a scent you two." Amberstar meowed. "Come out of the bushes right now." We crawled out of the bush and I was shocked to see the coldness in Amberstar's eyes. "YOU DONT SPY ON YOUR CLAN LEADER WHEN SHE IS HAVING A PRIVATE CONVERSATION WITH HER MEDICINE CAT!! IM DEEPLY ASHAMED OF YOU BOTH." Firetree hung his head sadly. "Leave. Im talking to Snowpetal." Firetree left quickly but I stayed where I was. "Snowpetal, I would like to have a word with Moonpaw alone please." Amberstar asked. Snowpetal dipped her head and left the shelter of the bush they were hiding in. As soon as Snowpetal left, Amberstar exploded. "WHAT WERE YOU TRYING TO DO!! YOU DON'T SPY ON YOUR CLAN LEADER!!" She yelled. "I do if my clan leader is talking about my worst enemy." I told her bluntly. "Well. Did you know I can keep you from becoming a warrior?" She said smugly. "YOU WOULDN'T!!" I screached. "Oh I would." She replied. "Well then." I said tilting my head up proudly. "You can stop me from becoming a warrior, but I will always be one at heart." I turned tail and left the bush. Snowpetal ran back into the bush to talk to Amberstar again. Almost as soon as Snowpetal's tail had disappeared into the bush I was tackled to the ground by an Ocean Clan warrior. "YOU!!!!" The Ocean Clan deputy hissed. I let out a whimper. The deputy smirked. "Not so fun on the other side is it??" He swung me around and bit into my flesh. I let out a yowl and called for Snowpetal. She didn't show up. Or pretended not to hear. I felt the breath smashed out of me as I crashed into the bush where Amberstar and Snowpetal were sitting. Snowpetal let out a gasp and ran to get her herbs. Amberstar just sat there. Staring. My eyes began to glaze over and I looked up into the sky for one last time...
ReplyDeleteThat horrible, stupid, evil apprentice. How could she do such a thing! Snowpetal started to heal Moonpaw, but I was still thinking about dying to live with Tigereyes. I thought 'I love him... But I don't know if it's worth it to die to live with him...' I must have been talking out loud because Moonpaw was staring at me open mouthed. "W'what? TELL ME!" I knew I couldn't. "NO!" "I'll tell the whole clan." THIS was bad. "Fine." I told her the whole story, and she started to scream. "WHAT????" "Ya." "I CAN'T BELIVE YOU LOVE TIGER-" I shushed her immediately. "You said you wouldn't tell." Moonpaw muttered something to herself.
ReplyDeleteSnowpetal soon came with the news that Moonpaw's leg was broken. "I don't think she'll ever be a warrior."
Snowpetal worked on my leg. My eyes stopped glazing over and I sat on the side of my belly panting. I begged Amberstar to tell me what was going on. She did. I COULD SCARCLY BELIEVE IT. "MOUSE BRAIN!!" I muttered to myself. I drifted into sleep at last with the soubd of the battle behind me.
ReplyDelete"I don't think she'll ever be a warrior." I heard Snowpetal say as I woke up. WHAT!! I WAS NEVER GOING TO BE A WARRIOR!! IMPOSSIBLE!! I tried to stand up but as soon as I did I flopped back down again. Oh why did it have to be me!! Snowpetal came rushing over. I glared at her. SHe sighed. "You heard what I said didnt you?" She asked. "Yes I did." "I'll do the best I can but for now you have to stop your warrior training." "But...but I've already had my huntign assesement!! I'm so close to becoming a real warrior!!" "Well, i'm sorry Moonpaw. Your going to have to wait a bit longer." I was sunk. I didnt want to have to wait to become a warrior. Let alone might not ever become one! I migh thave to go sleep in the elders den. No!!! I dedcided i'll work hard so i become a warrior!!! But as I looked up at Snowpetal I became unsure. What will happen to me now?
The battle went on through the night. I got to rest, and I knew this was it. I was going to die for the sake of love. It took awhile to fall asleep, but when I did, I wished I hadn't. Tigereyes was still in the Dark Forest, waiting. "You ready?" "Why aren't we in Starclan?" "It's not moonhigh." Oh. I forgot. He will be taken back tomorrow. "Can we wait?" "why?" "I just want to be sure." "You don't trust me?!?" "I DO!!" "Then let me kill you." I was ready. "Okay. Go ahead."
ReplyDeleteI was asleep in the apprentices den. I knew I was. I knew I was asleep. Meows of horror and shame was all orund me. But one voice stood out betwen all. ..."Then let me kill..." I woke up straight away. No. I hadn't. Instead I was walking around a dark forest. And thats exactly what it was called. The dark forest. The place of no stars. ..."Okay. Go ahead..." I heard the voice again. But it wasn't the same voice. I realised. I let out a gasp... it was Amberstar!! What was SHE doing here. I ran through my dream. I kept crashing into things. Where was the moon?? It should be moonhigh by now. I crept into a clearing and saw Amberstar with Tigereyes. Tigereyes was stepping closer to Tigereyes. He let his claws slide out. I crashed through the bushes. "DONT DO IT AMBERSTAR!!" Amberstar wirled around to face me. Rage smouldering in her eyes. "KEEP OUT OF THIS MOONPAW!!" "No. No I wont Amberstar." My voice quivered. "You dont know what your doing. Tigereyes is evil. "NO HE ISN'T!!" Amberstar screeched. "HE LOVES ME!! HE'S TAKING ME TO LIVE WITH HIM IN STARCLAN WHEN HE GOES THERE!!!" "No. Your wrong Amberstar. He isn't going to go live in StarClan. Hes stuck here, and if he kills you right now. You'll be stuck here too." It was all true. Amberstar couldn't die now. Not for anyone, not even if Tigereyes pretended to love her. "I dont want you to die. You still have so much you can offer SilverClan." Amberstar flicked her ears and turned back to Tigereyes. "Please." I whispered. She didn't look back. I dipped my head. i had done all that I could do for now. And if she chose to stay and live with Tigereyes in the Dark Forest then it would be her fatful decision.
ReplyDeleteI looked back at Moonpaw, wondering. Tigereyes turned me back to him. "Don't listen to her! You know you love me!" "I-I do, but-" I looked up. Wait a second. IT WAS PAST MOONHIGH!!! "TIGEREYES! WHY AREN'T YOU IN STARCLAN?!?" He looked up too. "Wha-" "YOU LIED TO ME!!!" "I DIDN'T!!! I THOUGHT I WOULD GO BACK!!!" I relented. "Sorry. I guess it's off, then. I'll miss you..." I was fading. "NO! PLEASE, AMBERSTAR!! DINT GO!!" "I'm sorry Tigereyes. I HAVE to go. I love you..." And with that, I slipped back into consionceness with the anguished wail of Tigereyes still ringing in my head. I wandered to the battle site, but it was too late. The battle was over. We had won. I had won two battles tonight. The one with oceanclan... and the one against myself with Tigereyes. Will I ever see him again? Maybe.......

ReplyDeleteI saw Amberstar begin to fade. I looeked at Tigereyes. "I know you loved her Tigereyes." I told him. "But you had to let her go. Im no medicine cat but I know when something is right and wrong. If you go to StarClan I would be so happy!! But I dont think you ever will." Tigereyes looekd at me galerd and then sighed. "I know you are right Moonpaw. You have so many troubles for someone so young." He dipped his head to me. "I was honoured to have taught you something." He padded back into the trees and I watched his tail vanish. Maybe he should have gone to Starclan. But even if he did he would have to wait for Amberstar.
ReplyDeleteI jerked awake in the apprentices den. Volepaw stretched open his eyes as he felt my wait shift. "Whats wrong?" He asked. "Oh...nothing I just have to go tel Amberstar something." I walked out of the apprentices den and went to see Amberstar. I meowed a greeting and she let me in. She was still curled up in her nest but she looked up when I came in. "How did you see me in the dark forest Moonpaw??" She asked. "I dont know. It might have been because I had a connection with him when he was alive." She sighed. "Maybe." "Should I get Snowpetal??" No. Theres no need. If Tigereyes does go to StarClan I will know." I dipped my head politely and left the den. I wish Tigereyes did go to StarClan. Then none of this would have happened.
